Creating Ceremonies That Matter

After years as an educator, I discovered my true calling in helping people celebrate life's most meaningful moments. Whether it's saying "I do," welcoming a new family member, or honoring a life well-lived, I bring warmth, professionalism, and genuine care to every ceremony.

Every ceremony I create is as unique as the people involved. I take the time to understand your story, your values, and your vision, crafting words and moments that truly reflect who you are.

My Background

I have recruited people into their forever jobs, run training courses for up and coming education professionals and spent many years teaching young children. Whatever I have done I have always loved being involved with people.

And this is why it gives me such pleasure to talk to couples who are planning their dream wedding, to celebrate with families their new arrival or their new blended family, or just to listen and support families who have lost a loved one.

Lesley - Your Personal Celebrant

"People have been at the centre of everything I've done"

My Journey

I have recently finished teaching in the primary sector, but wanted to carry on working with people. Having helped my mother organise my father's funeral many years ago, and recently organised my mother-in-law's funeral and then my own wedding, I found myself wanting to be involved in helping others.

On the one hand we had trials and tribulations with my m-i-l's funeral, not being given any choice in who officiated, what content we had and questioned on our music choices, ending up with a very impersonal service; to having a whale of a time at my own wedding that I organised, from venue to food to music.

My wish now as a celebrant, is to ensure people have a meaningful ceremony for their loved ones, and a fantastic wedding just like mine.

With those thoughts in mind I started my journey and qualified as an independent celebrant for weddings, funerals and naming ceremonies. And I'm loving every minute of being able to help support everyone who chooses me.

My Experience

Since organising my personal family events I recognise what you might need to make your ceremonies special. And I can do that as a qualified celebrant.

Therefore if you are looking to book me as your independent celebrant, this is who you will get - someone who has the experience of being able to stand up in front of your guests, family and friends and tell your personal stories, with those memorable moments you'll cherish forever.

Someone who will hold your hand and help craft that final goodbye as you say goodbye to a loved one; to ensuring that you have the day you never had when you got married when you say 'I do' again.

As a qualified Coffin Club Celebrant Plus celebrant this has given me the training to help families to think 'outside the box' and choose a funeral for their loved ones that maybe isn't centred round the crematorium or graveyard.

More freedom of choice in how to say goodbye.

Me Personally

Having now read all about what I, as your celebrant, can give you I know what you really want to hear is 'who am I?'

Well, I'm a wife, and mother to two girls and I'm looking forward to helping them arrange their own weddings, although I've been barred from being their celebrant and a grandmother to 3 children. I was a teacher and that will always be in my bones.

I'm a fairly relaxed, fun loving person, always happy to have a laugh, but can be serious when the situation arises.

I love animals having had Irish Wolfhounds, terriers, cats and horses in the past, and used to rescue horses too. In fact if you'd like to include your furry friend in your ceremony then all the better.

Therefore if you book me for your celebrant led wedding, funeral, naming or vow renewal you will have the most personalised ceremony you could wish for.
