Welcome to getting to know me!
Here is where you find out all about me so that you will know who is going to be
officiating at your ceremony.
My background is varied but every job I have done, people have been at the
centre.
I have employed new people into their forever jobs, run training courses for
up and coming education professionals and spent many years teaching young
children, I have always loved being involved with people.
And this is why it gives me such pleasure to talk to couples who are
planning their dream wedding, to celebrate with families their new arrival, or
just listen and support families who have lost a loved one.
I have recently finished teaching
in the primary sector, but wanted to carry on working with people. Having helped
my mother organise my father’s funeral many years ago, and subsequently
mother-in-law’s’s and then my own wedding I found myself wanting to be involved
in helping others.
On the one hand we had trials and tribulations with my m-i-l’s funeral, not
being given any choice in who officiated, what content we had and questionned on
our music choices, ending up with a very impersonal service; to having a whale
of a time at my own wedding that I helped organise, from venue to food to music.
I thought I want to ensure people have a better ceremony for their loved
ones than I did, and a fantastic wedding just like mine. With those thoughts in
my mind I started my journey to becoming a celebrant and qualified as a full
celebrant for weddings, funerals and naming ceremonies. And I’m loving every
minute!
Since organising my personal
family events I know what others might need to make their ceremonies special.
And I can now do this as a qualified celebrant.
Therefore if you are looking to book me as your celebrant, this is who you
will get - someone who has the experience of organising a wedding from booking
the venue to saying ‘I do’; to someone who will hold your hand as you say
goodbye to a loved one; to ensuring that you have the day you never had when you
got married when you say ‘I do’ again.
I am also a qualified Coffin Club Celebrant Plus celebrant which has given
me the training to help families think think ‘outside the box’ and choose a
funeral for their loved ones that maybe isn’t centred round the crematorium or
graveyard.
You have now read all about what
I can bring to you but I know what you really want to hear is ‘who am I?’
Well, I’m a wife, and mother to two girls and I’m looking forward to helping
them arrange their own weddings, although I’ve been barred from being their
celebrant! and a grandmother to 3 children. I was a teacher and that will always
be in my bones. I’m a fairly relaxed and fun loving person, always happy to have
a laugh, but can be serious when the situation arises. I love animals having had
Irish Wolfhounds and terriers in the past, and used to rescue horses too. In
fact if you’d like to include your pet in your ceremony then all the better.
Therefore if you book me for your celebrant led wedding, funeral, naming or
vow renewal you will have the most personalised ceremony you could wish for.
I'd love to get to know you. Please reach out and let me know how I may be able to make your ceremony Practically Perfect.
